BD-Micro Technologies, Inc. is now taking orders for our Hartwell Canopy Latch System, P/N 8A06. $398.00+ $15.00 domestic s/h. Our original latch kit is shown on page 58 of THE BD-5 SOURCE, 3rd. Edition.  This same canopy latch system is used on the airshow Microjets and features a double hook (like the safety latch on a car hood) for positive latching. This is the most positive, and proven system available for securing the BD-5 canopy.

Prior to our last production run of these components, we completed a redesign of the latch system.  The new design features a single lever to actuate both canopy latches.  It is now possible to open or secure the canopy from outside the cockpit with our new external access provision.  We have had very positive feedback from pilots using this system.

The cost for this production run of our Hartwell Canopy Latch System, P/N 8A06 is $398.00+ $15.00 for domestic s/h.  A payment of $250.00 is required to confirm each order. Please have your order for this item to us no later than Aug 19, 2005.  

Balance of payment is due by Sept 23, 2005. 

We expect to ship these orders no later than October 7, 2005.

Please note:  We do not normally keep this item in stock, and Hartwell will only produce the latches in quantity.  If you anticipate using these latches for your project, we recommend that you get in on this production run.  These specialty parts most likely will not be in stock when you are ready to begin installing them.
