Instrument Panel
A distinct feature of the FLS Microjet is the Dual Display Instrument Panel. Comprised of the left console, instrument panel, and right console. In keeping with the modern, high tech spirit of the Microjet, the instrument panel is designed around dual multi-function display (MFD) units. The various avionic components were selected for size, reliability, operating features, and systems integration along strict design and performance criteria.

The avionic components listed below were the ones that met all of our design criteria. Integration was a key factor in their selection to achieve the level of performance, reliability and feature set that we were after:
- Dual Grand Rapids Technologies (GRT) Horizon HX Electronic Flight Information Systems (EFIS) units.
- GRT Engine Information System (EIS) (remote mounted)
- Garmin SL30 Nav/Comm Transceiver
- Riteangle Elite AOA System
- Trigg Mode S Transponder.
- Audio Warning System (Tone Annunciator)
- 10 Channel Audio Mixer

Panel space was very limited and required considerable 3D CAD modeling and design to get everything to fit not only in the panel itself but also behind the panel. Another design goal for the panel was increasing visibility above and around the panel, and increasing leg clearance along the bottom edge for improved pilot egress/ingress. One of several features of the panel not always obvious is where the panel sides were designed to function as 45 and 60 degree attitude indicators. During banking maneuvers this feature provides solid and simple horizon references.

To maximize cockpit resource management, the switches and controls were grouped as to whether they were a ground/start function or an in-flight function. All of the switches and controls for flight function were grouped on the left side of the instrument panel and left console:
